Guy Denning was born in Bristol 1965. He became famous during in the past five years, he has painted consistently for over thirty years. During the mid-nineties he considered his abstract painting to be 'painting a dead aesthetic into a dead-end' and he looked around for fresher ideas.
At that time he was supporting
himself with a job in a stationery shop; it was here that
he returned to the photocopier as a tool to work with. He
left abstract in favour of figurative art.
In 2007 he left his native Bristol for Brittany where he
now lives and works.
My art class recreated some of Guy Dennings images with charcoal.
